This Privacy Policy explains how Vasculearn Network ("VLN," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our clinical education experiences, including the Learning Hub and the features within it such as the course player and the community discussion area (the "Services"). These Services are intended for healthcare professionals and other adults in the United States.

We built these Services to be educational, and we limit the information we collect to what we need. Please read this policy together with our Terms of Use.

Any information you provide is used to deliver and personalize educational content. It does not constitute medical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or clinical decision support.

Information we collect

Information you choose to give us. This includes:

• Your name and email address when you create a community account or sign in.
• Your professional role or specialty, if you choose to share it to tailor the content.
• Posts and comments you make in the community area.
• Your responses to in-course knowledge checks and your progress through the material.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Services, we record basic usage so we can understand how the content performs. This includes:

• Activity such as which sections you open, which videos you watch, and which answers you select.
• General device and browser information.
• The link or campaign parameters that brought you to the experience.
• Approximate location (such as country, region, or city) derived from your IP address.
• A random session identifier stored in your browser so we can group the events from a single visit. It is not tied to your name or email.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use browser storage and cookies (such as local storage, session storage, and analytics cookies) to make the experience work, to keep you signed in, and to measure usage. We do not sell your personal information for money. You can clear or block them in your browser settings, though parts of the Services may not work as well if you do. Where required, we honor recognized browser opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.

How we use information

• To deliver, personalize, and improve the educational experiences.
• To measure engagement and report on how the program performs, usually in aggregate.
• To operate the community area and keep you signed in across your devices.
• To respond to your questions and send resources you request.
• To keep the Services secure and to prevent abuse.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

How we share information

We share information with service providers who handle it on our behalf and only to run the Services. These include providers for website hosting, database and file storage, email delivery, analytics, and the community platform. We require them to protect the information and use it only for the services they provide to us.

We may also share information when we believe it is reasonably needed to comply with the law, enforce our Terms of Use, or protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or VLN. If VLN is involved in a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that deal.

Some experiences are produced with support from sponsors. We may share aggregated or de-identified reporting with a sponsor. We do not share information that identifies you with a sponsor for that sponsor's own marketing without your consent.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, and then we delete or de-identify it. Usage and analytics records are generally kept in a form that is not tied to your identity.

Your choices and rights

• You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any message we send.
• You can clear or block browser storage in your browser.
• You can ask us to access or delete information associated with you by emailing info@thrombosis.org.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under your state's privacy law, such as the right to know what we collect, to request access or deletion, to correct information, and to opt out of certain sharing. To exercise these rights, email info@thrombosis.org. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

Children

The Services are intended for healthcare professionals and other adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may be noted within the Services.
